Yutaka Watanabe
Born in 1981, Tokyo. Watanabe is a painter who plays with shapes and human being's perception. Many colorful shapes are floating in his painting. How you recognize those shapes depends on your own perception which has developed from experiences. Moreover, a shape changes its meaning as you see it individually or see the entire painting from apart. When he was little he used to play in a blank space where nobody could disturb him. He enjoyed playing by himself in that space and wants to create a playful space on the canvas as well.
